Swim Beach

An all-purpose resource for recreation is the Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District (909/866-9700). The office is located at 41220 Park Avenue in Big Bear Lake. The Park District maintains Meadow Park (next to the district office) with its play areas for sand volleyball, tennis courts, softball fields, horseshoe pits and picnic areas. This is also a great place to swim in Big Bear Lake. Swim Beach is fully fenced, has lifeguards on duty and has a snack bar and shade trees.

The Big Bear area is blessed with plenty of recreation choices. Use the menu to pick between Summer and Winter. The summer is filled with fishing, hiking, camping, mountain biking and water sports. It’s a great time to take advantage of our natural surroundings – the San Bernardino National Forest.

In the winter, our attention turns toward the two resorts; Big Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. Besides providing the latest resort information, we also have plenty of information on snowboarding, skiing and snowshoeing. Check our snow report and get ready to rip.
