celebrate our winter wonderland by playing in it! The
Discovery Center is offering guided
snowshoe tours
this winter for visitors and residents to explore scenic
areas around Big Bear Lake. A naturalist will lead you
through the forest where you will learn about winter ecology
and natural history of the Big Bear Valley. Tour is suitable
for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts. Meet at
the Big Bear Discovery Center. Snowshoes and additional
transportation are provided. Rate: Adults: $35, Children
(8-12): $25 Dates: Saturdays 9am-12pm & 1pm-4pm, Sundays
9am-12pm; December 19 through March 7. Additional Tours
scheduled for Saturday, December 19; 9am-12pm and Sunday,
December 20; 9am-12pm. Call to reserve your spot today!

The Nutcracker Ballet at the PAC

The Arts Council of Big Bear Valley and the Big Bear Performing
Arts Center Foundation will be co-sponsoring three very
special Christmas performances of ?The Nutcracker Ballet?
at the Big Bear Performing Arts Center. ?Nutcracker? features
the Maple Youth Ballet under the directorial guidance of
veteran ballet choreographer Charles Maple. Maple is a
former soloist with the American Ballet Theatre, an award
winning choreographer, teacher and the Artistic Director
of the Maple Conservatory of Dance in Irvine. Performances
are will be held in Big Bear, Monday, December 28, at 7
PM and on Tuesday, December 29 at 2 PM and 7 PM. Tickets
prices are $28 for adults, $22 for Children (12 and under)
and $22 for Seniors (65 and older) with a $1 ticket processing
fee for each ticket purchased. Tickets will be available
after November 1 at the Performing Arts Center Box Office
