Hunting
for antiques? Look no further than Big Bear Lake, with
its weekends of antique markets, large antique mall (set
in a former roller rink) and group shops featuring everything
from fine period furniture to porcelain and glass. Follow
a local hunter as she explores the different antiquing
opportunities in Big Bear Lake.
Weekend
Getaways
Mark
your calendar for Memorial Day weekend, July 4th weekend
and Labor Day weekend. While the whole country celebrates
with picnics and parades, Big Bear Lake celebrates with
yard sales, antique markets and craft shows. Memorial
Day weekend is by far the biggest yard sale weekend with
locals clearing out their closets and putting their trash
to treasure on the market in their driveways or yards.
Both Memorial Day and July 4th weekends find the Elks
club opening their doors for their annual Peddlers Market
Antiques and Collectibles Show. Each of the holiday weekends
brings a large craft show to the Convention Center as
well.
